This fantastic vintage candle snuffer and wick trimmer is shaped like a scissors.
Long before they introduced paraffin wax when candles burned down the wick remained and had to be trimmed down. This scissor-like device had a box to collect the trimmed wicks. This is a very beautiful and unadorned antique snuffer /wick trimmer. A must for the household before electricity.
In good used vintage condition. Candle snuffer is fully functional and safe to use, and is sure to become a family heirloom
